Exploring identity through film photography.

Masks is a collaborative piece that explores the various identities we each present to the external world in contrast to our internal selves and how we perceive each of these identities. This month-long effort was a time of self exploration and reflection that, as a group, inspired us to discover what these ideas meant to each of us. This was investigated through the use of images, both digitally and manually using Holga film cameras, with the final composition rendered using high-resolution scanned film images manipulated together in Photoshop. This project demonstrated strong collaborative growth and idea creation in a sense to better understand ourselves through photography and digital media.
